Eligibility & Nominations

• Nominations are open from October 30, 2026 and close November 10, 2026, at 11:59 PM Cameroon time.
• Both self-nomination and nomination by another person are allowed.
• A nominee's age is required for the Most Outstanding Teen Speaker of the Year category.
• A professional portrait photograph of the nominee must accompany every nomination — nominations without a photo cannot be shortlisted.
• The nominee must consent to public participation.
• Every nomination is reviewed before publication — no nominee appears on a public page until the awards committee has verified eligibility.

Screening & Shortlisting

• The awards committee screens all nominations from November 11–13, 2026, verifying eligibility against the category criteria.
• Up to five finalists per category are shortlisted.
• Approved finalists are published on November 14, 2026, when public voting opens.

Voting Rules

• One verified vote per person per award category.
• Voting is free, with no purchase required.
• Voters are verified by email or phone; anti-bot and duplicate-vote controls apply.
• Voting runs November 14–30, 2026, closing at 11:59 PM WAT on November 30.
• Public rankings are hidden or frozen before the awards ceremony.
• Final results are published only after verification.

Judging & Scoring

• Finalists are scored by a panel of independent judges using documented scoring criteria.
• Judges must disclose any conflict of interest and recuse themselves where a conflict exists.

Proposed scoring model — subject to CANASA leadership approval.

Calendar & Results

All votes and scores pass through a verification and audit period, December 1–3, 2026. Winners are announced at the Awards Ceremony during the CANASA National Speakers Convention on December 5, 2026 at Chariot Hotel, Buea — and final results are published only after that verification is complete.
